Getting married and departing with divorce for trivial reasons are common features in a movie script. Much to many surprises, the ace character actor Sarath Babu is facing a family divorce from his wife Snehalatha Dixit. She is the daughter of the late villain actor MN Nambiar and they were married for nearly 20 years.

Sarath Babu is a noted actor in Tamil and Telugu screens during the 80s and 90s. More fitting he was compared to the old actor Renga Rao. Sarath had shared frames with Rajni in Mullum Malarum, Annamalai, Velaikkaran, Muthu; he shared with Kamal in Salaingai Oli where he got many awards. In fact, Snehalatha married him after she departed from her first husband.
Sarath too got divorce from his first wife before marrying Snehalatha. Now she has approached the family court in Chennai seeking a divorce. She made a charge that she could not bear the emotional upsurge living with Sarath. As per the legal binding they were directed by the judge to have a family counseling. He then put off the case for hearing on December 24.
